Dr. David Caldwell–An 18th Century Flame for Christ, by Finis Caldwell, Jr. is a great labor of love as a tribute to and as an appreciation for a spectacular “man of the cloth” and brilliant educator during almost three-quarters of a century.  I have known of and appreciated very highly the spectacular work of Dr. David Caldwell (1725-1824).  In his almost 100 years of life, his influences touched the realms of educator, minister, patriot, farmer, medical doctor, politician, family man, statesman, and patriarch.
